A woman called me today. She asked me about the medication that was already filled for her dog. The computer automatically calls the pt when the medication is filled for them.

Before asking her more information, I told her to hold on while I grab the medication. I got back to her on the phone and told her what the medication was and that she can come by to pick it up. Then she starts sobbing loudly!! she told me that her dog had to be put to sleep the previous week!!! and that I don’t need to fill it for her anymore!

Why do I keep getting these deaths in the pharmacy! the previous week, it was with a woman who lost her son!
